Cruz Club

Cruz Club is a 12 month program designed to help equip would-be cruisers who are inspired to set off exploring the world by sea but don’t yet have the skills, experience or a boat to do it on and want to get prepared and do it right and avoid making costly mistakes along the way.

We provide training, regular access to a production catamaran and ongoing coaching and support to prepare you for cruising on your own boat.

Memberships are very limited to ensure members get plenty of time onboard.

Training

To join Cruz Club, you need to commit and sign up for the 5 day live aboard training program onboard one of our late model Seawind cruising catamarans to gain Day Skipper accreditation. This course can be completed whilst already a member of Cruz Club.

You must hold a General Boating Licence to join the course.

Monthly Boat Use

Cruz Club includes 3 days and 2 nights a month of private access to our club catamaran, allowing you to take your family out and introduce them to the delight of live aboard sailing, but with the back up and safety of a charter operation and qualified skippers.

Weekly Racing

Furthermore, each week the members can jointly race in our friendly afternoon fleet race with a skipper onboard to help continue coach the group and hone their sailing skills so you understand how to get the best performance from your catamaran. You will also join a community of budding cruisers including not only other Cruz Club members, but other boat owners who have plenty of experience to share.

All marina fees, insurance, maintenance costs, and yearly haul out fees are included in your monthly membership fees.

Charter Boat Investment Available

If you would like to earn the financial benefits of being a Cruz Club charter boat owner, we have opportunities for new boats to be launched in Sydney and Brisbane now.

Boats

Seawind 1170 – Sydney

The incredible success of the Seawind 1370 has inspired Seawind to design a smaller version around 40 feet that carries similar styling lines to the 1370 and new modern hull shape, but with an interior layout more akin to their super popular Seawind 1260 that optimise space providing incredible value and comfort for live aboard cruisers.

Seawind 1260 – Sydney

The Seawind 1260 features three cabins, two bathrooms, a comfortable saloon and cockpit with indoor or outdoor dining options. It features twin 30hp Yanmar diesels motors and is designed for long range cruising in the South Pacific. Winner of Multihull of the Year just a few years ago it’s a great boat to cruise on.

Aquila 44 – Sydney

The Aquila 44 Powercat is an evolution of classic boating traditions where efficiency in design and performance compliment her luxurious living. As a result, she is a boat like no other. One of the main features include an oversized flybridge with sun pad seating on either side of the central helm station and Aquila’s revolutionary bridge to bow direct access. The result is a powercat which offers luxury, comfort and performance.
